SOUTH INDIAN RESTAURANT
Kancham is a South Indian restaurant with an intentional contemporary mood. The location presented difficulties because it was a component of a business building. As a result, the space is planned and designed around the existing structure. The space is bonded with the concept of adding a combination of grooves in plaster while maintaining clean visual lines. A fresh perspective is given to the space by the choice to replace the traditional gypsum false ceiling with wooden frames of silk fabric, the application of oxide paint in peach and beige colors, and the addition of brass to the flooring and lighting fixtures.
