Mikro
Mikro, a café in Madhapur, Hyderabad, reverses the conventional urban approach by turning the street into an extension of the project. Designed by Urban Narratives, it transforms an abandoned, levelled plot at a cul-de-sac into an active social space by working with existing site constraints.
An amphitheatre-like stepped seating bridges the height difference between the street and the café, breaking down scale and dissolving the boundary between public and semi-private space. With a restrained palette of wood, green granite, and neutral finishes, Mikro offers a warm, grounded environment.
More than a café, it functions as a scalable urban prototype for activating overlooked city pockets.
